Lizzie Finlay is inspired by imaginative stories, bright colours, quirky characters (especially pirates and beady-eyed wolves), and their adventures.
She loves expressive line drawings and admires the work of Quentin Blake and David McKee.
Lizzie graduated from Exeter College of Art and Design in 1999. She is delighted to be working as a children's book illustrator and considers it to be the best job in the world! She’s excited about having just written her first picture book and is looking forward to it’s publication in 2009.
